Babymetal Dolls

Yuimetal, Su-metal and Moametal action figures

A Japanese sculptor made a custom made action figure of Su-metal, Yuimetal and Moametal. The costumes are based on Babymetal's 2013 costume from their music video Ijime, Dame, Zettai. Each figure are very detailed and faithfully captures the looks of the girls although their faces are somewhat similar to an anime style. It looks good though.

Since the whole body of the figure is based on a Dollfie doll, the figures have several articulation points and it also has a stand so it is fully poseable. The figures also has interchangeable part for the hands like a hand for pointing, an open palm hand and the "kitsune sign" hand pose.

The sculptor hasn't mentioned if they are selling these figures or if they are planning to mass produce. But these custom made dolls may pave the way so that figure companies like Goodsmile, Megahouse, Medicom or even Dollfie will finally manufacture quality figures at affordable prices.

If you want to check out the painstaking process of sculpting the figure and making the costumes you can check out their blog here. It is in Japanese though so you may need to use Google Translate to understand how the sculptor made the figure.
