Babymetal at Makuhari Messe 2015

June 21, 2015 - Babymetal performed at Makuhari Messe. This is their biggest concert yet having 25000 fans attend an all-standing concert. The band performed 2 new songs. The first one is tentatively named "Awadama Fever / Bubble Dreamer" and the second one is tentatively named "Chigau".

There was a minor incident during Babymetal's performance at Metal Hammer's Golden Gods Awards.

Babymetal won the Metal Hammer's Breakthrough award at the Golden God Awards. They are the 1st Japanese band to get an award.

Andy Copping is a Festival booker for Download. Last year, a fan asked him if there is a possibility that Babymetal will perform in Download but he replied that Babymetal does not have a place in it.

On July 12, Babymetal was seen in Download Festival taking pictures and hanging out with other bands. They also had a suprise guest performance with Dragonforce. It seems like Andy Copping has changed his mind about Babymetal even though his tweets indicate that he doesn't have any idea about it.

It seems like Andy is still trying to act like an elitist but we all know that he gave Babymetal the permission to have a guest performance. Unfortunately, Babymetal was not paid according to Andy Copping's tweet. But at least the girls get to hangout with other bands. This can be a good experience for them and it will help promote the band. I'm sure Kobametal knows what he is doing.

Hopefully, Babymetal will finally be allowed to perform at Download Festival next year.

Babymetal and Dragonforce at Download Festival

Babymetal had a surprise guest performance during Dragonforce show in The Maverick Stage at Download Festival. The two bands have already collaborated when Herman Li and Sam Totman provided the riffs for Road of Resistance. Dragonforce will also appear during Babymetal's performance in Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.
